ZEPPET STOREの創始者／ギタリストの五味誠がCOLLAPSEのShoko Inoueをヴォーカリストに迎えたユニット、sphereが2022年11月にリリースした4thアルバム『A Fusion Of Two Hemispheres』。その「並行世界（パラレル・ワールド）」と銘打たれたネイキッド・バージョン2作『sphaera anatomica (ius)』『sphaera anatomica (left)』が既に発売されているCDに加え、デジタル・リリースされることが決定した。
融合した二つの半球『A Fusion Of Two Hemispheres』が再分割され、「ius（右脳）」「left（左脳）」と題された2タイトルは順次配信。これに先駆け、2月8日（水）リリースの『sphaera anatomica (ius)』より、先行シングル「the starry night (naked)」が1月18日（水）よりストリーミング開始となる。
「the starry night (naked)」は、解体されウィスパー・ヴォイスとピアノだけとなった静寂なるキャンバスに、ニューエイジ／北欧エレクトロニカ／アコースティックな彩りの新解釈によって描かれたネイキッド・バージョン。sphereの本質的なシューゲイザー・サウンドの構成要素である轟音ギター／ファズ・ベース／疾走感溢れるドラムは封印され、より繊細さを増し幻想的で浮遊感溢れる荘厳な異世界として再構築されている。

2007年、ZEPPET STOREの創始者／ギタリストの五味誠を中心に結成、1stアルバム『Echo and Narcissus』発売。2009年、2ndアルバム『Separation and Diffusion』発売。2011年、3rdアルバム『syvyys』発売。以降、五味は東日本大震災をきっかけに再結成されたZEPPET STOREの活動と多くのアーティストへのサウンド・プロデュース業に専念してきたが、2022年6月、11年の沈黙を破り、シューゲイザー・バンド、COLLAPSEのShoko Inoueをヴォーカリストに迎え本格再始動を宣言。V.A.『Total Feedback 2022』へ参加。同11月2日、ついに11年ぶりのアルバムとなる4thアルバム『A Fusion Of Two Hemispheres』発売。
