High Sunnは14歳から宅録活動を始め、2023年に初の来日ツアーも行ったサンフランシスコのソロ・アーティスト。これまでにSpirit Goth RecordsやPNKSLMといった海外のレーベルから数多くの作品をリリースしている他、2023年にP-VINEよりアルバム『welcome to life』をリリースした。

アニメやゲームなど日本のカルチャーはHigh Sunnが作る音楽にずっと影響を与えてきたが、日本でのリリースや来日ライブの影響で日本愛はさらに増し、『skyMEMORI -footprints in the grass-』は自身が新たにテーマとして掲げる「ブライトコア」をテーマに、ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION、DECO*27、Supercell、ANORAK!、yuzuha、anoをはじめ、日本のギター・ロック、パンク、シューゲイズ、メロコア、ボーカロイド、アニメ・ミュージックなどをJustin流に調理した作品に仕上がっている。
